Land of the Dead Trailer
George A. Romero's Land of the Dead trailer is finally online. Check the cast list and you'll find that cult horror icon Tom Savini plays a zombie named Blade.
It will also be interesting to see what Asia Argento makes of her character named Slack. Mainstream movie fans will recognize Argento as Yelena in Vin Diesel's xXx, but foreign film aficionados will remember her as Beatrice in the 1998 film B. Monkey.

Indie Film Gathering - June 3,4,5
Attention midwest filmmakers. The Independent Film Gathering will be held in the Cleveland, OH area on June 3 - 5. Although it looks to be a small event, it should afford local filmmakers excellent opportunities to network--or at least drink heavily. Let's hope there's a bar in the hotel as the StrangeStuff.com staff will be accepting free drinks all weekend (bring lots of cash).
Here are directions to the hotel.

Seven Oh Five
Ok, Chuckleheads. If you haven't already done so, check out the short films of Seven Oh Five. I recommend the classic "Three Card Studs" for a first look. There isn't a direct link, but go to their movies section and scroll down until you see it. You might also like "Skid Marks" and "Space Time Destroyers" and "Oh." Funny stuff.

Kurokou
Sure, comics on the big screen are all the rage. You've seen Spidey Guy, Daredweevil, and the Bulk...but have you seen Kurokou? Seriously, I have no idea what this site is saying, or what it's about, but it's funny already. Drop me a line (filmguy at strangestuff dot com) and enlighten me. This film just HAS to be hilarious.

Bruce Campbell's "Summer of Love" tour
See one jet-lagged, walking dead, uber tired Bruce Campbell in a town near you. Promoting his new book "Make Love! The Bruce Campbell Way", ol' B.C. will meet the masses and press the flesh. Check his website for his grueling June through September publicity schedule. Pack lots of vitamins Bruce, you're going to need them with that schedule.
My theory is that his agent is going for a bump in product sales when Bruce dies of exhaustion. I can see it now, Bruce kicks the bucket and all his work suddenly becomes collectible... Ok, maybe not Alien Apocalypse, but the other stuff will.
The new book is a novel, not a career retrospective like his previous book "If Chins Could Kill", so act according to your own disposition on that point. Click here to read a short intro to the book.
