Beer and a DVD on July 31 with 216 Films
This just in from Joe at 216 films:
Check out the 216 Films "GUYS" DVD fundraiser release party/screening on July 31 at 4 p.m. at Casey's on 13601 Detroit Rd. in Lakewood (just west of Cleveland), OH. You can play the "GUYS" drinking game LIVE as the film is shown multiple times throughout the evening.
Cleveland filmmaker Joe Ostrica's "GUYS" already has a loyal cult-following in Cleveland and it's preparing to invade the national festival circuit. This fundraiser party will help Ostrica's production company 216 Films raise funds to do so. It's also a GREAT networking event for area filmmakers, actors, musicians, indie film lovers, etc and a great place to meet like-minded people.
This multi-award winning comedy (including the Indie Gathering Viewers Choice Award) has been compared to indie cult-classic comedies "Clerks" and "Swingers."
$20 gets you a copy of the DVD AND all the beer you can drink! All other drinks will be at Happy Hour specials...Don't drink? No problem. $10 gets you in the big bash and a copy of the DVD with all its special features. Check out www.216films.com for MORE details/info or write to: joe@216films.com

Editor's Note: I'm sure Joe's offer is only to those of legal drinking age, subject to availability, and the establishment in question (Casey's) reserves the right to whatever...yadda, yadda, yadda. Ask Joe if you have questions.
Editor's Note #2: If you have enough beer, the film "Guys" just MIGHT compare to "Clerks", "Swingers", or John Tesh's latest concert video. It all depends on the amount of beer you swill. The only way to find out is to attend the party and conduct your own experiments. Just don't drink and drive ya stupid bastids.

"Cannibal! The Musical"
Before there was Team America: World Police... before there was South Park... there was Cannibal! The Musical.
Mat Parker and Trey Stone produced this movie "based on the true story of the only convicted cannibal in American history, Alferd Packer." According to the Cannibal movie web site, the film started as a fake trailer and Parker joked that he would make a feature movie on the subject. People were interested, money was raised, and the rest is history. Before you rush out and buy the movie, read the real story of Alferd Packer and his flesh eating ways.
